Test scores are only good for one year only so applicants need to apply for their license within one year from passing the examination. Candidates do however, need to sit for Nevada’s state specific portion examination, but can wave the national portion. A Broker or Broker-Salesperson candidate also needs to take 45-hours of Broker Management. And then 18-hours of Nevada Law would only be remaining for the candidate to take. The student needs a transcript or certificate from the education showing 45-hours (or 3 credits) in Principles and Practices and 45-hours (or 3 credits) in Real Estate Law. Nevada will however, accept proof of pre-licensing education from accredited schools in states other than Nevada. Except as otherwise provided in NRS 645.332, a person may not be licensed as a real estate broker unless the person has been actively engaged as a full-time licensed real estate broker-salesperson or salesperson in this State, or actively engaged as a full-time licensed real estate broker, broker-salesperson or salesperson in another state or the District of Columbia, for at least 2 of the 4 years immediately preceding the issuance of a broker's license.The state of Nevada doesn’t have any reciprocal agreements with any other states with regards to Real Estate licensing.
